Trip Overview

Ama Dablam is the world’s most extra ordinary mountain in the Himalayan region of eastern Nepal. It is one of the spectacular mountains in the world not for its height but for its beauty, Aesthetics and the pure exposure encountered high on its side. It is one of the beautiful mountains in the khumbu region. The elevation of the main peak is 6,812 and the elevation of the western peak is 6170. It is one of the popular peak among the permitted expedition. The meaning of Ama Dablam is mother’s Necklace, as viewed from Tangboche. It looks like as arm of the mother protecting her child on each side. Also hanging glacier is in the shape of the pendant worn by Sherpa women. This is submitted through south west ridge which is one of the most aesthetic climbing routes of the Himalayan region. On the first summit of Ama Dablam on 1961, Mike gill, Barry Bishop, Mike Ward and Wally Romanes also summit through this south west ridge. This is one of the technical peaks among the world. Better climbing knowledge is required to climb and summit it. It is also known as the”Matterhorn” of Nepal because they resemble with each other in shape. In Ama Dablam climber usually set 3 camps. Camp I is not so difficult and technical but it become difficult throughout the way. Camp II of Ama Dablam is considered as the most beautiful camp site in the world.
